Holy Cross called Scott Thompson to lead the congregation as Rector in late 2007. Scott was previously rector of New Life Episcopal Church in Mosinee, Wisconsin. He is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. His first love was music and he had a desire to play the drums as a professional musician in a rock band. He became focused on full-time ministry in his mid-teens. Scott received his BA in Biblical Studies from Grace School of Theology in 1986, and a master of theology from the Dallas Theological Seminary in 1991. He received a certificate in Anglican studies from Nashotah House Episcopal Seminary in 1999.
Scott and his family live in the Sugar Land area. He enjoys spending time with his family, singing, playing the guitar and drums, reading, running, weightlifting, and riding his motorcycle. His passion is the local church and seeing lives transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Diane has more than 25 years' experience in office administration, marketing, corporate communications, and public relations in the commercial real estate business. Diane can be found in the Holy Cross office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week.
Diane has been a member at Holy Cross since 2001 and has been active in a variety of ministries, including Marketing and Communications, Missions Team Co-Leader, Social Outreach, Children's Sunday School teacher, Women's Ministry, Parish Clerk, and served a three year term as a Vestry member. She loves being involved and staying busy, and especially loves spending time traveling and scuba diving with her husband. She and her husband live in Sugar Land.
Diane studied Business Technology from 1974-1978 at the University of Houston.
Peter Bergman joined Holy Cross in June 2016. Peter is a native of Southern California and has been a worship leader in Surrey (British Columbia), San Diego, Katy, and Houston. Peter loves the Lord, loves people, and loves worship.
Peter lives in Katy, Texas with his wife and three young daughters.
Jessica Nelson was selected as Director of Holy Cross Kids Preschool in August 2016. Jessica previously served as assistant to the director for three years prior to assuming the leadership of the school. Both of Jessica's children attended and graduated from the Preschool in years past.
Jessica and her family have been active members of Holy Cross for several years. In addition to her work with the Prechool, Jessica has taken the lead role in organization of the Silent Auction for Pumpkin Patch and assisted in planning and organizing the Annual SoulSisters Women's Ministry Retreats.
Jessica brings to the position an in-depth knowledge and experience to the existing operations and also a strong background in child development. Jessica, her husband and two children live in Sugar Land.
