Holy Cross Episcopal Church participates in this ministry every 10-12 weeks on Sunday morning by serving breakfast to about 250 homeless men and women. The breakfast is prepared by another group and our group sets up the tables, pours coffee and hot chocolate, and serves the meal. It is held in a safe and secured environment within Trinity Episcopal Church in downtown Houston, located at 3401 Fannin @ Holman in Houston.

All adults and middle/high school students are invited to participate. If you are interested in participating at our next serving opportunity, please contact Damian Hebert at or call 713-962-2318 for more details or information.

Join us and see how your life will be impacted by serving those less fortunate! Check out our photo gallery below for photos of one of our serving team groups at Lord of the Streets.

The Changing Face of Homelessness...

When you think of the word "homeless," what image comes to mind? Do you think about:

  • A single mother of four trying to make it in a new city
  • A senior citizen with a disability and no support system?
  • A family hit hard by the economic downturn?
  • A young woman fleeing an abusive relationship?

These are real families and individuals who are facing homelessness in Houston. Lord of the Streets Episcopal Church’s (LOTS) and Community of the Streets Outreach’s (COTS) goal is to return homeless families and individuals to self-sufficiency through counseling, job training, and educational programs. Check out the LOTS website for more information on this outreach ministry:
