Lord of the Streets Episcopal Church:  "Serving the homeless"

Lord of the StreetsThe work and mission of Lord of the Streets Episcopal Church and Community of the Streets Outreach is to minister to the spiritual, emotional, physical and social needs of individuals living in Houston who are homeless, in crisis, or in transition.

Holy Cross joins this ministry three Sundays this year by sending a team of about 15 adults and youth to help serve breakfast to the homeless at Trinity Episcopal Church in downtown Houston.

Our next date to serve is Sunday, November 4, 2018.

If you would like to participate, we meet at the Trinity Church parking lot at 6:30am. Also, some volunteers meet at the Holy Cross parking lot at 6:00am to share rides and caravan to Trinity.

Trinity Episcopal ChurchWe serve approximately 200 homeless men and women in a secure, organized setting, pouring coffee and hot chocolate and handing out trays of food. We finish about 9:00am, in plenty of time to make it back to Holy Cross for our worship service.
